Continental Beginnings

You may already know about this recent Lincoln video that simultaneously contemplates beauty and peeks at the 2016 Lincoln Continental, which comes to the US next year:

 

 

We thought it might be an appropriate time to recall how this classic model got its start. In 1935, Henry Ford's son Edsel created a design department at Ford and hired Eugene Terenne ‘Bob’ Gregorie as its first designer. The two men worked together to envision and develop the first Continental, which made its good-looking debut in 1939. Learn more below:
